In this webcast, the Chancellor discussed the topic of Common Core — the state-led effort coordinated by the National Governor’s Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers aimed at instilling a common understanding for students, parents and educators about what students should know and be able to do by the time they graduate high school to succeed in college and careers. The Chancellor also answered several questions submitted by parents of NYC public school students on the topic of Common Core.
